Objectives of the Course:This course aims to provide a brief introduction to the central issues of Natural Language Processing (NLP), to introduce various practical skills associated with the design and implementation of NLP systems
Course Description:This course aims to provide a brief introduction to the central issues of Natural Language Processing (NLP), to introduce various practical skills associated with the design and implementation of NLP systems, the linguistic foundations that underlie NLP, introduce to the algorithms used in the field to enable the computer to interpret and produce natural languages, i.e. English, Turkish, etc. The focus is on modern quantitative techniques in NLP and also, analysis and construction of representative systems.
Learning Outcomes:1. Understanding the fundamentals of NLP
2. Learning the typical phases of NLP: Syntax, Semantics,Pragmatics, etc.
3. Developping or improving NLP Systems
