| Objectives of the Course: | Ability to convert a passive filter to an active filter, synthesize an active filter starting from a transfer function, obtain transfer function of a filter given the specifications, verify filter design by computer simulation; ability to incorporate economic, environmental, and safety constraints in the design process. |
| Course Description: | Introduction to analog filter design. Study of approximations, passive systems, analysis, sensitivity and stability of active structures. Design of active filters using controlled sources, operational amplifiers, and generalized impedance converters. Study of fabrication technologies for discrete, hybrid, switched capacitor and transconductance amplifier filters.
